Nutrition

At Network Chiropractic we take a holistic and integrated approach to your health.  We practice nutrition from a “Functional Medicine” perspective, which views the body as a unified field with interconnected systems.  Symptoms and specialized lab test results are used to address underlying imbalances, deficiencies, or toxicities.  For those who are interested in nutrition we offer a variety of types of testing through specialty labs; including blood, urine, stool and saliva tests, which may be used to analyze adrenal function, food sensitivities, cardiovascular risks, neurotransmitter levels (brain chemicals), and digestive function.

Symptoms, which may indicate that a nutritional approach may be helpful include:

  • Migraines
  • Joint Pain or Arthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Allergies
  • Digestive or elimination problems
  • PMS
  • Insomnia
  • ADD or ADHD
  • Fatigue
  • Weight gain, or difficulty losing weight
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • High cholesterol or triglycerides
  • High blood sugar or insulin
  • Hypoglycemia
  • High Blood Pressure

Taking a functional medicine approach, we do not diagnose or treat any conditions or diseases directly.  Diagnosis and treatment are the focus of allopathic medicine.  Functional medicine involves analyzing the function of the body and its systems, then using natural means, such as diet, exercise and nutritional supplements to restore balance and integration.  This helps your body to work and feel better and may help prevent disease processes, such as heart disease or diabetes from developing.

We use an array of excellent nutritional supplements and products from reputable companies, which sell only through health professionals, and offer consultations and treatment protocols, which are separate from, but very complementary to the stress reducing chiropractic care we offer.
